The F135 Global Capacity Forecasting & Strategy Associate Director is responsible for developing and maintaining the strategic framework that aligns depot maintenance capacity, supplier capability, and program demand across the global F135 MRO&U network.
This role supports execution of sustainment operations critical to maintaining the flying fleet by forecasting long-term network demand, ensuring depot activation and expansion plans meet program requirements, and aligning maintenance sourcing strategies with available industrial capacity.
Operating at the intersection of program strategy, forecasting analytics, and sustainment planning, the position leads cross-organizational coordination across Pratt & Whitney, the F-35 Joint Program Office (JPO), and global Product Support Providers to ensure the depot network evolves in step with fleet growth and operational demand.
The role also leads the Maintenance Management & Scheduling Mission Feedback Assessment (MFA) program, providing structured external performance insight to inform functional improvement priorities and strengthen customer confidence.
What You Will Do:
As the F135 Global Capacity Forecasting & Strategy Associate Director, you will:
- Lead global F135 MRO&U demand forecasting and depot capacity assessment, collaborating with the forecasting team and leveraging program tools including FLOSIM.
- Lead the Global Capacity Working Group (GCWG) to align the Joint Program Office and Product Support Providers on depot capacity planning and network strategy.
- Develop and maintain the long-term strategic allocation plan for F135 maintenance workloads across the global depot network.
- Ensure depot capacity strategies align with program budget planning, including Future Years Defense Program (FYDP) processes and Title 10 requirements.
- Support Joint Program Office contract and proposal efforts associated with funding of depot maintenance activities.
- Establish and maintain policies, processes, and planning assumptions governing global depot capacity planning and network allocation.
- Lead the Maintenance Management & Scheduling Mission Feedback Assessment (MFA) program to capture external performance insight and inform improvement priorities.
- Drive development of digital tools and analytics that improve forecasting accuracy and decision visibility across the depot network.
- Travel Requirements 10–25% depending on location
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, operations management, logistics, data analytics, or a related field.
- Minimum 12 years of experience in forecasting, data analytics, operations, or program management within a complex aerospace or defense environment.
- Experience coordinating across multiple functional organizations to align strategy, planning, and execution activities.
- Strong analytical and executive communication skills, including experience presenting performance insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance is required; therefore, U.S. citizenship is required.
Qualifications We Prefer:
-
Prior experience supporting F135 production, sustainment, or depot-level maintenance planning.
-
Experience working with the F-35 Joint Program Office (JPO) or Military Service Depots (MSDs).
-
Understanding of propulsion systems, airline operations, or engine maintenance operations.
-
Demonstrated experience leading cross-organizational planning forums or governance bodies.
