About the Role
RTX is seeking a highly skilled and experienced SAP and A&D Functional Business System Expert (BSE) to join our Manufacturing Finance team. As a functional BSE, the resource will work closely with Business Unit management, Digital Technology teams and Data and Analytics teams to provide expertise across SAP modules to translate business processes into requirements for configuration, development, testing and integration. The ideal candidate will have expertise in ECC GPD/S4 PMMO, Project Systems and FI/CO, along with hands-on experience in SAP Fiori applications. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and supporting SAP solutions to enable efficient financial operations within our Manufacturing and Supply Chain processes.
What You Will Do
- Support Operations Finance processes within the existing RTX/RTN SAP ERP instance and boundary systems
- Analyze complex business processes and provide technical solutions to optimize financial operations within the Manufacturing and Supply chain areas
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Manufacturing, and DT, to deliver end-to-end SAP solutions
- Support SAP system upgrades, patches, and enhancements, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations
- Provide technical documentation, training, and knowledge sharing to internal DT Teams, Business Unit Business Process Experts (BPEs) and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)
- Stay updated with the latest SAP technologies, tools, and best practices to recommend innovative solutions
- Create Functional Specifications based on Business Unit Requests for the purpose of System Changes
The position is performed remotely; availability to travel to various RTX sites to support requirements gathering, solution testing, and deployment activities are required when needed.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field and 8+ years of related experience, preferably in the Aerospace & Defense industry, or Advanced degree in related field and 6+ years of related experience, preferably in the Aerospace & Defense industry
- Knowledge of technical solution development process and system integration techniques with analytical and technical troubleshooting skills with hands-on experience with SAP Fiori/UI5 application development and testing
- Strong understanding of financial processes and integration points in an ERP environment with knowledge of SAP functionality in the areas related to operations finance including Grouping Pegging Distribution (GPD); FICO; Project Systems; as well as general knowledge of all operations areas of SAP ECC
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and strong communication and collaboration skills
Qualifications We Prefer
- Experience with S/4HANA development and migration projects and knowledge of SAP modules such as FI/CO, MM, and PP
- Experience with agile methodologies and frameworks and proficiency with agile tools such as JIRA and Confluence
- Experience in test automation tools or capabilities
- Familiarity with SAP BW/BI Reporting with SAP certification is a plus
- Experience and Certifications in EVMS tools and processes and willing and able to learn new systems/tools and processes

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
