Collins Aerospace is currently seeking qualified candidates for Systems Engineer II roles in our Military Avionics Flight Management department located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Teams are comprised of cross-functional engineers working in an AGILE environment (approximately 6-10 people) focused on the design and development of flight management software applications. • Work within a team of Systems and Software engineers to design, develop, and test software features for flight management systems that are integrated into military helicopters and planes.

• Grow knowledge of Systems Engineering and Flight Management Systems.

• Integrate soft skills (leadership, communication, coordination, proactiveness) into a dynamic environment that provides quality and timely products to internal and external customers.

• Travel (domestic and international <10%) as needed**.Qualifications You Must Have:**

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field.

• 2+ years of experience with C, C++, DOORS, ADA, and/or Python.

• 2+ years of experience in a Systems role.

• Ability to obtain a DoD Security Clearance (Classified as a US Person) if needed after day 1.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Industry Experience of Software Lifecycle Development (Design, Requirements, Integration, Test).
• Pilot/Avionics Experience (i.e. Private Pilot, Aircraft Maintenance, DO-178 Certification) .

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
