About the Role
Collins York is looking for a motivated and energetic person to join our 3rd shift operation. All work is done in a clean, climate controlled facility where we put safety and quality first in everything we do. External candidates will receive a $2,000 sign-on bonus.
Responsibilities
Selected candidate will operate CNC lathes, mills, grinders & other specialized CNC & manual equipment and/or perform finish work and marking of piece parts in various stages of production. Machinist will be expected to set-up and run machines on a wide variety of operations involving multiple machines that convert raw materials to precision semi-finished goods within print tolerance specification. Required to obtain inspection certification through on-the-job training & testing.
3rd Shift: Sunday-Thursday 11:00PM-7:00AM
Training Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00AM-3:30PM for approximately 90 days
Qualifications
Required
- Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline
Preferred
- Prior CNC operation/machining experience
- Basic computer skills such as log on, data entry and retrieval
- Basic math skills
- Blueprint and routing reading and comprehension
- Competent with hand tools and experienced with measuring equipment
