What You Will Do
- Establish the physical layout of machinery and the most efficient sequence of operations and workflow
- Plan the sequence of operations and procedures and documents manufacturing standard work and routings
- Plan the allocation of resources, materials and personnel to establish maximum utilization of equipment
- Conduct studies pertaining to cost control, productivity improvement, cost reduction, inventory control
- Lead and support process improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency and reduce operational waste
- Perform scrap and rework analysis, including data review, root cause identification, and implementation of standardized procedures
- Participate in tooling design using Solid Works, ensuring accuracy, manufacturability, and alignment with engineering requirements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related engineering field and 5 years of prior relevant experience
- Proficient conversational and written English required, needs to be able to efficiently communicate both in person and in reports/via email
- Medium-advanced Excel user
- Good communication & presentation skills
- Project management experience
- Experience using continuous improvement tools including LEAN, Six Sigma, etc.
- Experience leveraging influencing, interpersonal, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to drive results
- Solid Works experience required
- Must be available to work the evening shift, from 3:10 p.m. to 11:10 p.m
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing
- Experience with Drawings, BOMs, Routings, Manufacturing Procedures and product specifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering; Mectonics or Mechanical preferred, Industrial or Aerospace also acceptable
- Valid Visa is preferred
- Root cause analysis
