About the Role

  • Pueblo site, Colorado is a dynamic carbon brake machining operation. We create and ship out new carbon for aviation braking systems. As a Finishing Process Operator I, you will work in a dynamic manufacturing operation that performs the finishing process for aircrafts carbon brake discs. You will have the opportunity to be trained to work with state-of-the-art robotic equipment. You must be willing to learn and thrive in a team environment. Position works onsite at our Pueblo, Colorado Facility.

Shift Schedule

  • Hours: 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. rotates to 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
  • Rotation: 3 on - 3 off schedule, rotating day/night shift every 4 months

Responsibilities

  • Load/unload small furnaces
  • Use handheld scanners to track and move parts
  • Precisely measure part dimensions and weights using handheld gauges and scales
  • Communicate to your Supervisor any potential mechanical or safety issues with the equipment
  • Strictly follow written procedures to maintain safety and ensure quality
  • Read drawings and operate robotic and automated equipment per manufacturing procedures
  • Document the process used to create / finish parts
  • Set up and cleaning of robotic and automated equipment
  • Use basic to intermediate computer skills
  • Learn to recognize issues with the process equipment tolerance limits
  • Learn all Collins and customer specifications relating to finished, special processes, and policies
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

You Must Have

  • Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
