What You Will Do:

The Pratt & Whitney Columbus Forge Blades (CFB) Module Center Manufacturing Engineering Organization is seeking a Process Manufacturing Engineer to support CFB for machining processes.

• Responsible for all aspects of machining processes and standing up new machining processes from the ground up including fixturing, process tryout, work instruction, standard work, and gaining engineering source approval.

• Develop and implement plans that are in line with the business strategy to further our world class technology portfolio; provide operational engineering support to develop technologies and processes which support the growth curve and cost reduction targets.

• Leverage manufacturing innovations to improve cost, delivery, and quality of aerospace blade forgings; assist with problem solving during manufacturing related investigation; own relentless RCCA for correcting non-conformance in the part families.

• Optimize, automate and trim waste; maintain work instructions applicable to machining processes including but not limited to grinding, milling, and EDM.

• Support operational excellence using statistical analysis for process control and certification; develop blade process using statistical methods that meet or exceed the business objective for process control; provide focused & effective leadership in eliminating EH&S/Ergonomics/Human Factors risks and addressing quality issues.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or closely related technical discipline and 2 or more years' experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations, quality or closely related environment or a Master's degree and at least 1 year in an engineering, manufacturing operations, quality or closely related environment

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office computer software including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

• Experience managing multiple projects with competing priorities in a constantly fluctuating work environment

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Degree in aerospace, industrial, mechanical or manufacturing engineering

• Understanding of continuous improvement tools such as Six Sigma and LEAN concepts

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
