What You Will Do:

Perform electronic, electromechanical, and mechanical repair tasks under close supervision.

Disassemble, troubleshoot, repair, and reassemble components following blueprints, diagrams, and work instructions.

Use hand tools (soldering irons, wire strippers, crimpers, wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, hammers) and more complex equipment.

Train and guide other technicians on standard repair procedures and quality points.

Perform quick failure analysis and propose corrective actions to team leads/supervisors.

Suggest process improvements to enhance safety, quality, and productivity.

Collaborate with Manufacturing and Quality teams to ensure repaired products meet company and customer standards.

What You Will Learn:

Advanced troubleshooting and repair techniques for electronic and mechanical systems.

How to implement continuous improvement practices (CI, Kaizen, 5S).

Leadership and communication skills in a repair-focused environment.

Safety and quality best practices for repaired assemblies.

Hands-on knowledge of IPC standards, soldering, and de-soldering.

Qualifications You Must Have:

Ability to read and follow instructions, diagrams, and memos.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, rates, ratios, percentages, and interpreting bar graphs.

Experience with modern repair or manufacturing tools and techniques (CI, Kaizen, 5S).

Qualifications We Prefer:

Knowledge of IPC standards, soldering, and de-soldering techniques.

Experience training or mentoring other technicians.

Familiarity with continuous improvement initiatives in a repair setting.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.]

Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). If you live within a reasonable commute of an RTX site with other colleagues you interact with, your manager will discuss whether there is a degree of onsite presence associated with this role.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent) or vocational/technical education in related discipline
