What You Will Do

  • Work with designs and specifications, determine quality flow downs on a wide variety of precision and complex in-process and finished machined parts, highly complex components, cables, castings, forgings, circuit cards, fabricated sheet metal parts, and hardware that is produced in-house and/or supplied by vendors both pre and post award
  • Interface with our Defense Contractor Management Agency customer to perform product sell-offs
  • Ensure that projects and process control documents are compliant with requirements, objectives and contracts
  • Verify materials and processes and verification of certifications from sub-tier vendors
  • Complete all applicable paperwork (working to AS9100 standards)
  • Perform various other quality functions as required to ensure the timely delivery of product to the customer
  • Assist with root cause analysis and recommend corrective action(s)
  • Perform escape management procedures
  • Perform audits of vendors at their locations to applicable technical data packages and industry standards
  • Develop strong working relationships with the touch labor, factory leadership, program leadership, and DCMA

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a STEM field or other technical degree of study or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of quality engineering experience
  • Previous experience with interpreting technical blueprints and job shop mathematical calculations in a manufacturing environment
  • U.S. Citizenship required as the candidate must have the ability to obtain a U.S.

Secret Security Clearance:

Preferred Qualifications

  • Must be able to follow written instructions and to work with little to no supervision
  • Thorough organizational skills and familiarity with requirements of an AS9100 based quality system
  • Ensure that all required process operations have been performed on the product that is being inspected

Salary Range: $68,900 USD - $131,100 USD

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
