Advanced Products & Solutions (APS) / Radio Frequency Solutions (RFS) – a product line within Raytheon - is looking for a motivated finance professional to join the ASARS-2A Finance team in El Segundo, California. This role works closely with Control Account Managers (CAMs), Integrated Product Team Leaders (IPTLs), and cross-functional partners to provide Finance support for successful contract execution. The Finance Analyst will maintain excellent internal controls to monitor & contain program costs. This lead analyst will help plan, forecast, & facilitate financial results, ensuring a strong contribution to the Surveillance & Tactical Radar Solutions (STaRS) platform. The 2A lead analyst ensures all required financial inputs (both internal & external) are completed, reviewed, analyzed, and submitted on time.

Professional development is key to succession planning, therefore growth opportunities will be available, including program manager interaction, presenting to program area leadership regarding Short-Range Outlook (SRO), and interacting with customer representatives, all of which require effective written and verbal communication skills.

What You Will Do

  • Weekly data review & reporting, variance analysis, monthly forecasting, and measuring results vs forecast to ensure financial metrics such as bookings, sales, profit, and cash contribute to the needs of internal stakeholders & market shareholders alike
  • Latest Revised Estimates (LREs) are used to guide forecasting and develop quarterly Estimates at Complete (EAC)
  • Identifying risk & opportunities to the forecast, Long-Range Plan (LRP), program budgets, and/or period of performance (PoP)
  • As a lead analyst, proactive analysis of all financial aspects of the program is key to successful performance

Qualifications – Must Have

  • Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field
  • Experience in understanding and application of finance principles, concepts, practices, and standard knowledge of industry practices
  • Experience planning and managing daily tasks, analyzing, providing results, and recommending solutions to management
  • Experience with computer skills including a high level of proficiency with Microsoft (MS) Office products (MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook, MS Word)

Qualifications – Preferred

  • Experience with or understanding sales, profit, bookings and cash flow forecasting
  • Ability to quickly master Business Systems
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with program management
  • Initiative to seek ways to improve processes and data analysis
  • Ability to work under general direction and participate in determining assignment objectives, plans, & schedules
  • Following training, ability to arrange own activities & apply learning to accomplishing objectives
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management both verbally and in written form
  • Familiarity with SAP systems (APEX, Business Warehouse, PRISM)
  • Experience with Estimate to Complete (ETC) pricing (Excel ETC tool, Program Management (PM) Tools, EDIT+)
  • Practical knowledge of RTX projects, programs, or systems allowing the ability to make enhancements and leverage in daily work
  • Proposal experience

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

Compensation

Salary Range: $72,000 USD - $144,000 USD

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Additional Information

  • This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
