Position Overview:

We are seeking an autonomous and highly skilled Senior Azure DevOps Engineer to lead the design, automation, and management of Azure cloud infrastructure and DevOps pipelines. You will drive modernization initiatives, implement policy as code, and ensure secure, reliable operations in a collaborative environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Azure Dev

Ops & Infrastructure as Code:

· Design, develop, and maintain reusable Terraform modules (AzAPI, Azurerm) for Azure infrastructure.

· Build and manage Azure DevOps pipelines for CI/CD, including automated testing, deployment, and release management.

· Implement best practices for infrastructure as code, version control, and configuration management.

· Work independently to deliver end-to-end solutions, from requirements gathering to production deployment.

Azure Cloud Services & Modernisation

· Deploy and manage Azure services, including AKS, ACR, and Azure Container Instances.

· Lead migration and modernisation projects from on-premises to Azure IaaS.

· Use Azure Migrate and Azure Site Recovery (ASR) for migration, backup, disaster recovery, and high availability.

· Implement and maintain backup, DR, and availability best practices for critical workloads.

Azure Networking & Private Resources

· Design and manage Azure networking: VNETs, subnets, NSGs, VPNs, Express Route, and routing.

· Deploy and manage private endpoints, Azure Private Link, VNet integration, and Private DNS resolvers for secure, private resource access.

· Ensure secure connectivity for hybrid and multi-cloud environments.

Dev

Ops Development Lifecycle:

· Create and manage feature branches, conduct code reviews, and oversee release processes.

· Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery.

· Automate operational tasks and streamline deployment processes for efficiency and reliability.

Security, Compliance, and Documentation

· Implement security best practices for Azure environments, including RBAC, encryption, and monitoring.

· Implement and manage Azure Policy as code for governance and compliance.

· Ensure compliance with industry standards and participate in security audits.

· Document architecture, configurations, and deployment processes; maintain up-to-date runbooks and SOPs.

Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing

· Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge on DevOps and IaC best practices.

· Participate in technical discussions and contribute to architectural decisions.

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.

· 5–8 years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure, with at least 3 years in Azure DevOps and cloud automation.

· Experience building and maintaining Terraform modules for Azure (including AzAPI and Azurerm).

· Proficiency in Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD pipeline tools, and scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python).

· Deep understanding of Azure services, deployment models, and production operations.

· Proven experience with on-premises to Azure migration and IaaS modernisation.

· Experience deploying and managing AKS, ACR, and container instances.

· Familiarity with Azure Migrate, ASR, backup, DR, and availability best practices.

· Advanced Azure networking skills, including private endpoints, Private Link, VNet integration, and Private DNS resolvers.

· Experience implementing Azure Policy as code.

· Deep understanding of DevOps development cycles, including branching strategies, code review, and release management.

· Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

· Azure certifications (e.g., Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Azure Solutions Architect) are a plus.

Preferred Experience

· Experience working with global teams or large-scale enterprise environments.

· Familiarity with ITIL/ITSM processes for cloud operations, including hands-on experience with Service Now.

· Demonstrated ability to work independently and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
