General Summary:

Role Overview The Electrician III is responsible for performing advanced electrical maintenance, installations, and repairs across commercial building systems. This role requires strong technical expertise in commercial electrical infrastructure, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work independently while supporting building operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, and repair of 120/208/277/480V branch circuits, lighting systems, lighting control devices, motors, sub-panels, distribution panels, and related equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve complex electrical issues using the latest repair and maintenance techniques.
• Utilize basic computer skills to navigate company systems, work order platforms, and documentation tools.
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation for emergency support.
• Safely operate a personal vehicle to complete daily work assignments (clean DMV record required).
• Collaborate with internal customers, providing clear communication regarding system status, needs, and solutions.
• Partner with contractors and consultants to provide technical guidance, project insights, and recommended approaches.
• Assist with general building operations and maintenance tasks as needed.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong ability to identify and apply the correct wiring methods based on system requirements.
• Proficiency navigating and controlling various lighting control systems, including Building Management Systems (BMS).
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply information from commercial building blueprints.
• Knowledge of current National Electrical Code (NEC) regulations.
• Familiarity with NFPA 70E electrical safety requirements.
• Effective communication skills for working with internal teams, contractors, and external partners.

Additional Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and related applications.

Education Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits:

$27.46 - $41.20

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm.
