General Summary:

This is a Software Test Engineer position. In this role the candidate works on a team responsible for testing QTI security solutions on Qualcomm chipsets. The role involves a good mix of hands-on testing of the products and software development of test cases and automation using a combination of C/C++, Python and XML.

Please note this role will require 5 days per week onsite in our Cork office

Engineers will be responsible for developing software test applications and test automation which may include the following responsibilities:

• Design test plan to validate security protocol and algorithm and its interaction with other applications.

• Develop and implement test applications at both API level and system level using C and C++. Automating test cases in Python.

• Test execution, troubleshooting and problem resolution on embedded software platforms

• Interact in a team environment with developers, system engineers and testers

Preferred Qualifications:

• 6 + years experience in C, C++ and Python.

• Knowledge of cryptography and security protocol is a plus.

• Team player, work independently with minimum supervision

• Verbal and written communication skills

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. OR
  Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
  OR
  PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.

• 2+ years of work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
