As a Qualcomm Hardware Engineer, you will plan, design, optimize, verify, and test electronic systems, bring-up yield, circuits, mechanical systems, Digital/Analog/RF/optical systems, equipment and packaging, test systems, FPGA, and/or DSP systems that launch cutting-edge, world class products. Qualcomm Hardware Engineers collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop solutions and meet performance requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 3+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience. OR
  Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.
  OR
  PhD in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 1+ year of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.

Job Role:

• Develop, deploy, and support In-house CAD tools or EDA vendors, and flows related to Design Verification, Low Power, Functional Safety, Coverage, etc.
• Engage with Designers, DV teams, management teams to develop Verification solution that meets the prescribed requirements.

Minimum Skills:

• Bachelor's Degree with 7 or more years industry experience or Masters with 5 or more years of experience as a Design Verification engineer or CAD/EDA tools support and development
• IP/SoC level Verification and Verification Methodology experience
• Experience with Object-Oriented software development in Python, Perl, C, C++, or other OO languages, Makefile, Shell Scripting

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in RTL, Verilog and/or System Verilog, UPF Verification, GLS, Timing Simulations, PSS (Portable Stimulus)
• Experience in process automation with Makefile, Shell, PERL/Tcl/Python scripting will be plus
• Knowledge of DPI (C, C++) wrt Simulation tool Debugs will be a plus
• Ability to drive company-wide consensus on design tools, flows and methodologies
• Ability to document design methodologies & provide training on tools and workflows to design teams
• Experience with Front-end Digital Design and/or Digital Verification methodologies with a focus on digital and Low Power solutions
• Demonstrated experience with various EDA software, flows and architectures
• UNIX knowledge and experience with data-management software
• Proven ability to push & drive EDA vendors to improve tools to implement new functionality to solve problems or to optimize existing methods
• Prior experience debugging vendor tool problems
• Experience working with engineers and managers to schedule projects and provide schedule updates and roadmaps
• Strong communication skills and track record of success in a collaborative team environment
• He/ she should have a good working knowledge of EDA tools (Synopsys/Cadence/ Others) with focus towards debugging design/ verification problems using these tools.
• He/ she should have good communication skills.

Required: Bachelor's degree in Electronics/Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.

Preferred: Master's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
