General Summary:

Qualcomm is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Security Engineer to lead a global team of software security engineers in developing the next generation of Qualcomm Security Tools. This role is ideal for a technically strong leader with a passion for secure software development and a proven track record in managing distributed teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a global team of software security engineers.
• Drive the design, development, and maintenance of Qualcomm’s security tooling infrastructure.
• Collaborate across time zones and teams to ensure alignment and delivery of high-quality, secure software.
• Shape technical direction and enforce best practices in code quality, testing, and security.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to define requirements and deliver robust solutions.
• Ensure timely delivery of features and fixes through effective sprint planning and execution.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of industry experience in software development, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Strong proficiency in Python, including experience with unit testing, CI/CD pipelines, git workflows, and build systems.
• Solid understanding of software security principles and practices.
• Experience working with cryptographic technologies such as OpenSSL, ECDSA, and RSA.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Secure bootloader and binary authentication process.
• Experience with ARM processors and embedded systems development.
• Familiarity with the full product development lifecycle.
• Hands-on experience with device drivers and peripheral integration.
• Proficiency in debugging tools and techniques, especially for embedded systems.
• Strong C/C++ programming skills and experience with RTOS (preferably Linux).

Prior experience with microcontrollers, microprocessors, and smart device platforms.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. OR
  Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
  OR
  PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.

• 2+ years of work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
