General Summary:

Qualcomm's Multimedia R&D Group is seeking passionate candidates for its Computer Vision R&D team in Hsinchu, Taiwan. The team develops advanced algorithms, architectures and systems for computer vision and machine learning application, enriching the embedded systems for Smartphone, IoT, PC, XR, and other platform products.

The candidate will have responsibilities including but not limited to:

o Utilizing modern machine learning techniques for computer vision tasks

o Development of proof-of-concept demo on Qualcomm platforms

o Tackling practical issues in terms of accuracy and efficiency for specific application scenarios to make computer vision technology ready for commercialization

o Tracking cutting-edge computer vision and machine learning techniques and new emerging application fields

o Proposing new ideas in algorithm / application for technology commercialization and patent application

Minimal Qualifications:

o PhD degree (or Master with >3 years of working experience) in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or other relevant majors

o Hands-on experience in the computer vision research in one or more of the following Computer Vision/ Machine Learning related areas, such as

• Face / hand / body detection and 2D/3D pose estimation

• Object detection

• Action recognition

• Vision foundation models / Vision language model / Multimodal LLM

• 3D Reconstruction

• Biometrics

• Deepfake detection / watermarking

• AIGC

o Proficiency in deep learning model design, training and finetuning

o Proficiency in C/C++/Python

o Proficiency in English

o Good team spirit

Preferred Qualifications:

o Experience with deep learning model compression, quantization and on-device deployment

o Experience with Computer vision system SW development

o Experience with Qualcomm HW platform

o Experience with Qualcomm AI SDKs and tools

o Experience with Camera framework and sensor related image processing

o Experience with performance optimization with ARM/DSP/GPU/NPU

o Experience with cross-platform (Windows, Android, Linux) development

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field and 2+ years of Hardware Engineering, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience. OR
  Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field and 1+ year of Hardware Engineering, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.
  OR
  PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
