Candidate will:

• Work on the current and next generation of Snapdragon display processor.
• Be hands-on with an array of leading edge technologies related to display and color processing.
• Get exposure to industrial best practices working with high profile automotive manufacturers.
• Develop knowledge and competency across a variety of HLOS frameworks that powers today's (and tomorrow’s) vehicles.
• Contribute to the display driver development across multiple HLOS frameworks for variety of customers features
• Participate in test development and test automation to increase test coverage benchmarks
• Debug real time issues reported by automotive manufacturers in an actual vehicle test drive
• Work with research and development group to integrate and commercialize innovative applications
• Propose innovative suggestions for optimizations and enriching enhancements for upcoming HW generation

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Detailed oriented with strong analytical and debugging skills
• Strong working knowledge of C programming
• This position will work with China and India teams so flexibility in hours and strong communication skills are required

Experience in one or more of the following HLOS environments:

• Android framework
• Automotive Grade Linux
• QNX Operating system
• Knowledge in one or more of the following disciplines is preferred: Display (Pixel processing/composition, MIPI DSI, HDMI, Display Port, etc.), Bus/interconnect (AHB, AXI), CPU (ARM v8/v7, Cache, MMU, security, etc.), HDCP, compression, color adjustment
• Knowledge / experience with safety critical software development process (Functional Safety), including ASPICE, ASIL, ISO26262, MisraC
• Familiarity with static analysis tools, code coverage metrics, unit test generation
• Working experience with ADAS use cases

Nice to Have:

Display Color Processing Expertise: Familiarity with display color processing concepts and standards is a plus. Ideal candidates will have knowledge and experience in:

• Common color spaces for display, including sRGB, DCI-P3, BT709, BT2020, and others.
• Understanding of CIE1931 chromaticities and their application in display color management.
• Knowledge of common Display Port display color standards and their implementation.
• Color space conversion techniques.
• Experience with HDR tonemapping techniques and their application in display color processing.
• SDR (Standard Dynamic Range) to HDR (High Dynamic Range) conversion methods and their implementation.
• Utilization of AI (Artificial Intelligence) in color post-processing, including AI-powered color grading, color correction, advanced color effects, and image enhancement algorithm.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 5+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. OR
  Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
  OR
  PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.

• 2+ years of experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits:

$113,800.00 - $163,800.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm. We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants (employees on sales-incentive plans are not eligible for our annual bonus).
