General Summary:

Job Overview

We are seeking a Machine Learning Software Engineer to lead the enablement and integration of AI/ML models on top of Qualcomm’s hardware and software infrastructure, ensuring seamless deployment, compatibility, and performance optimization. You will work with ML frameworks like Py Torch, extend Qualcomm AI software platform and AI Model Efficiency Toolkit to support the latest and greatest ML models, including Gen AI models. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive model onboarding and deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end onboarding of AI/ML models onto the Qualcomm platform—from initial integration to production deployment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate model requirements, dependencies, and platform compatibility.
• Optimize model performance, accuracy, and resource efficiency for scalable deployment.
• Develop and maintain onboarding documentation, best practices, and troubleshooting guides.
• Provide technical support to internal teams and external partners throughout the model enablement lifecycle.

Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in AI/ML model deployment and integration.
• Proficiency with model frameworks such as Py Torch, Tensor Flow, and ONNX.
• Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Skills

• Good Python/C++ skills with excellent analytical and debugging capabilities.
• Solid understanding of machine learning technology and model deployment.
• Experience with LVM, LLM, LMM, and Transformer-based architectures.
• Hand-on experience in design/implementation of deep learning networks via Py Torch.
• Background in algorithm development and C/C++ software engineering.
• Knowledge of model optimization techniques for performance and accuracy.
• 5+ years of industry experience in machine learning, multimedia, robotics, or AI.
• Hands-on experience with neural networks and practical AI/ML methods.

Education Requirements

• Required: Bachelor, Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering

Preferred: Master or PhD, Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. OR
  Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience.
  OR
  PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

• 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
