General Summary:

The Automotive business within Qualcomm is a fast-growing segment encompassing a wide range of products sold into both automotive factory-fit and aftermarket applications. At the same time, the technologies continue to evolve, e.g., 4G / 5G, and the devices (ECUs) and applications built on top of these technologies are increasing in number, complexity, and overall importance to the driving experience.

We are looking for highly talented and hands-on embedded software developers as part of the Auto Telematics SDK Team. In this group you are part of a team developing a software platform, Software Development Kit (SDK) and essential AI components for the best in industry Telematics platforms for Automotive applications. The ideal candidate is a good software designer and developer who can quickly grasp new concepts and can develop competitive solutions. Your responsibilities will include software Design and development interfacing with multiple technology teams across domains like Telephony, Audio, WLAN, GPS etc. and ramp up on those various technologies. Knowledge of agentic AI, Service Oriented Architecture and the components in this area will be essential.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. OR
  Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience.
  OR
  PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

• 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.

Job responsibility

• Software development for Telematics SDK; on a day-to-day basis your skills in design and development using C++ will be used.

• Leading topics in Telematics team from requirements, concepts, design until delivery.

• Mentoring a small group of engineers to encourage learning and increase productivity.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify solutions for complex topics.

• 3 to 6 years of Software Engineering or related work experience.

• 3 to 6 years of experience with OO concepts and experience in C++

• Exposure to Agentic AI related concepts

• Exposure to SomeIP

• Skills: C++11 and above, SCM tools: git, gerrit, Linux user space application development, Multi-threaded application programming, know-how of Agentic AI, MCP servers, SomeIP concepts

• Experience in leading topics from requirements, concepts, planning, design until delivery.

• Good to have: Experience in CI, C++ unit testing frameworks, exposure to Qualcomm chipsets OR Qualcomm tools, experience in developing middleware components in a Linux based embedded system.
