General Summary:

Qualcomm is seeking a highly motivated and innovative ODM UEFI/BIOS Engineer to join our Cloud AI Inference Solutions team. In this role, you will collaborate with world-class hardware and software engineers, ODMs to design, implement, and optimize system-level software for cutting-edge AI inference platforms. Your work will directly impact performance, power efficiency, and reliability across a wide range of Qualcomm products to large-scale datacenter deployments.

Responsibilities

• Design and Develop: Implement and optimize kernel-mode and low-level software features for Qualcomm AI inference solutions, ensuring high performance and robustness.
• Bring-Up and Validation: Coordinate and work for initial power-on, board bring-up, and functional validation of AI platforms
• System Integration: Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and software teams to ensure seamless integration
• Debug and Optimize: Perform system-level debugging, root cause analysis, and performance tuning for complex AI workloads.
• Firmware and BMC and security: Develop and validate firmware components, ensuring compliance with security standards (cryptography, attestation, chain of trust).
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with ODM and global SW/HW teams

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

Education: BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

Experience:

• 5-10 years of software development experience in AI system-level programming.
• Strong proficiency in C/C++; scripting experience in Python is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with Linux kernel internals, device drivers, and embedded systems.
• Familiarity with ARM architecture; knowledge of x86 is a strong plus.

Technical Skills:

• Deep understanding of AI architecture (caches, buses, DMA, memory controllers).
• Experience with UEFI/BIOS, secure boot, and firmware development.
• Knowledge of industry standards: PCIe, SPI, I2C, and management protocols (PLDM, MCTP, SPDM).
• Exposure to AI frameworks (Tensor Flow, Py Torch) and large-scale inference systems.
• Experience on develop and bring-up for sophisticated AI architectures like GB200/300 NVL72 is Plus.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. OR
  Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
  OR
  PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.

• 2+ years of work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
