About The Role

Provide analytical, forecasting, and planning support to the Senior Director of Demand & Supply Planning and the Director of Retail Planning. You will support the merchandise planning analytics, OTB stewardship, forecast and budget process, including any ad hoc insight requests that contribute to drive profitable sales, healthy inventory and cross-functional alignment. In this role, you will translate data into clear actions and communicate succinctly with senior stakeholders.

Based at our Head Office located in the heart of the CBD, located at 388 George Street 2000, this is a full-time, 14-month fixed term contract, working from home and in the office weekly.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Review high level weekly and seasonal sales, margin, and inventory forecasts aligned to budgets and planning targets.
  • Track forecast accuracy and provide proactive recommendations to Planning Directors.
  • Support with annual/seasonal revenue plans and rolling forecasts in partnership with key stakeholders.
  • Support maintaining OTB reporting, reviews and sign offs as well as monitor OTB releases versus spend.
  • Support with conducting detailed SKU/store analytics on sales, stock, size curves, and sell through. Recommend promotional plans, transfers, or re-positioning to maximise sales and GP.
  • Ensure inventory is at optimal levels, manage replenishment signals and propose actions to deliver stock turns and reduce excess and/or aged inventory.
  • Ensure orders are reflected correctly in OTB and managed through the PO lifecycle in line with lead times and category strategy.
  • Maintain planning tools and reports; designing and implementing planning processes to drive efficiency and data integrity.
  • Produce and distribute weekly/monthly planning and trading reports for key stakeholders.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to align on demand, supply, and trading actions.
  • Deliver fast turn analyses and insights to support strategic and operational decisions as required.

Skills, Experience & Personal Attributes

  • 5+ years’ experience in merchandise or retail planning
  • Proven track record of driving commercial outcomes through planning strategies.
  • Experience in multi-channel retail including physical stores, outlets, and E-Commerce.
  • Deep knowledge of merchandise financial planning, allocation, and inventory management principles.
  • Systems expertise (e.g., SAP, Blue Yonder, Excel, BI tools).
  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Finance, or related discipline preferred.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
