About the Role: Business Development Representative

We’re seeking a motivated and collaborative BDR to join our rapidly growing team. This is a great opportunity for someone eager to contribute to a high-growth, fast-paced tech company in the enterprise cybersecurity space. At Proofpoint, you’ll be empowered to learn, grow, and advance your sales or marketing career – while driving new business across the LATAM regions.

Your Day-to-Day:

  • Demonstrate adaptability and strong communication skills as you identify, engage, and qualify prospective customers within your assigned territory, including targeted prospecting efforts across key LATAM markets.
  • Build trust with cross-functional partners by preparing thoroughly for meetings, asking insightful questions, and prioritizing quality over volume.
  • Gain visibility across the organization by showcasing your work to leadership and participating in customer demo calls when ready.
  • Utilize CRM tools such as Salesforce.com and Outreach, along with social engagement strategies, to manage leads effectively.
  • Go beyond typical BDR responsibilities—this role empowers you to use good judgment, contribute ideas, and build meaningful relationships that support your long-term career growth.
  • Market the company’s products and services to well-qualified prospects via phone and digital outreach.
  • Respond to inquiries generated through national and local marketing efforts and document interactions appropriately.

What You Bring to the Team

  • 1+ years of experience in business development, inside sales, or a similar lead‑generation role.
  • Bilingual in English and Portuguese;Spanish proficiency is a strong plus, especially for LATAM engagement.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly and efficiently.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent time management and organizational abilities.
  • Creative problem-solver who thrives in a dynamic, evolving environment.
  • Collaborative mindset—eager to share sales tactics and learn from peers.
  • Demonstrates persistence, resilience, and a strong sense of ownership.
  • A results-driven individual who is energized by challenges and motivated to exceed goals.
