Named Account Manager - Hungary About the Role
We’re looking for a proactive, strategic, and results-driven Enterprise Account Manager to accelerate Proofpoint’s growth across the **Hungarian territory.**This position will report to the Sr Manager, Eastern Europe and will own and grow a portfolio of named enterprise accounts, combining new business acquisition (main focus) with expansion of existing relationships. You’ll work closely with a dedicated Hungarian based Sales Engineer, Channel Partners, and internal stakeholders to develop strategies that protect customers from advanced threats and enable long-term success.
Your Day-to-Day
- Build and maintain strong executive-level relationships within enterprise accounts (2,500+ end users) across multiple verticals
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (System Engineers, Channel Partners) to develop and execute account strategies.
- Drive new business acquisition while expanding relationships with existing customers by introducing our full suite of security, compliance, and information protection solutions.
- Deliver compelling product demonstrations and presentations in partnership with technical teams.
- Analyse and report on pipeline progression, forecast accuracy, and account performance.
- Manage the end-to-end sales process, ensuring operational excellence and timely execution.
- Maintain compliance with Proofpoint’s sales methodology and industry best practices.
Qualifications
- Required:
- Preferably bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Proven success in enterprise technology sales, ideally with SaaS and cybersecurity solutions.
- Track record of exceeding quotas, winning new logos, and leveraging channel partnerships.
- Strong executive selling skills (CISO, CIO, CMO) and ability to influence complex buying cycles.
- Experience closing deals in the €100K–€1M range**.
- Familiarity with formal sales methodologies (MEDDIC, Challenger, TAS, Command of the Message).
- Fluency in Hungarian and English
- Preferred:
- Experience using Salesforce.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity market trends and competitive landscape.
- Soft Skills:
- Growth mindset and willingness to be coached.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
- Entrepreneurial approach with urgency and strategic thinking
