Responsibilities Job Description- Senior Lead Analyst (GL Close, Accounting Systems & Forecasting) We are seeking a well‑rounded Finance Specialist who can contribute across key areas of our Finance function, including General Ledger Close, Accounting Rule Engine (Oracle Fusion), and Enterprise Forecasting.
This role is well‑suited for a finance professional who brings good accounting fundamentals together with system expertise, analytical thinking, and a collaborative working style.
The position will work closely with FP&A, GL Accounting, Finance Operations, Technology teams, and global stakeholders to support accurate financial reporting, strengthen forecasting processes, and enhance our Oracle Fusion environment through continuous improvement and system optimization.
Role Summary This role will support and enhance activities related to period close, GL governance, accounting automation, forecasting cycles, and system testing.
The Finance Specialist will participate in UAT, System Integration Testing (SIT), ERP enhancements, and implementation cycles, ensuring process readiness and smooth adoption of system changes. for Oracle Fusion, planning frameworks, and end‑to‑end ERP process flows.
Key Responsibilities Close & Consolidation and Forecast.
Monitor subledger (AP/AR/FA/CM) transfers, resolve exceptions, and ensure timely and accurate postings.
Assist with GL configurations such as ledgers, calendars, COA segments, Cross Validation Rules (CVRs), allocation rules, and control setups.
Coordinate with Finance, Audit, and Compliance during month‑end and quarter‑end close cycles.
Maintain clear and updated documentation including SOPs, process flows, test scripts, and governance artifacts.
Support the analysis, design, and maintenance of accounting rules, mapping logic, and journal line definitions.
Translate finance requirements into compliant and automated accounting logic in collaboration with Finance and IT teams.
Participate in UAT, SIT, regression testing, and production validation for rule changes and system deployments.
Maintain documentation, configuration logs, and version control for all rule modifications.
Monitor accounting rule execution, identify discrepancies, perform root cause analysis, and support timely resolution Support end‑to‑end forecasting cycles across revenue, expense, headcount, and balance sheet categories.
Maintain and enhance forecasting templates, driver-based models, and assumptions within planning tools (EPBCS, FCCS, SAC, Anaplan, etc.).
Perform variance analysis comparing forecasts vs. actuals, identifying key movements and underlying drivers.
Ensure forecasting data integrity through reconciliations with GL, subledgers, and reporting systems.
Collaborate with FP&A and Finance teams to validate assumptions and support planning submissions.
Nice‑to‑Have Skills Comfortable working with Oracle Fusion ERP, especially around GL setups, period‑close activities, subledger integrations, and using ADFDI/FBDI for day‑to‑day tasks.
Good understanding of core accounting concepts, month‑end processes, reconciliations, and how different subledgers flow into the GL.
Familiarity with Oracle SLA/FAH, including how accounting rules, mapping sets, and derivations are set up and maintained.
Experience: supporting testing cycles such as UAT and SIT, including preparing test cases, executing them, and helping track and resolve issues.
Working knowledge of forecasting and planning, with exposure to driver‑based models, variance analysis, and planning tools like EPBCS/FCCS, SAP SAC, Anaplan, OTBI, or Smart View.
Strong analytical, documentation, and process‑focused skills, with the ability to work comfortably with large datasets and maintain clear process documents.
