What You'll Do Conduct medium-complex account reconciliations: Concentrate on Market Value Reconciliations, detecting and addressing data, trade, and reconciliation discrepancies according to internal controls and client specifications.

Prepare reconciliation reports: Guarantee clear, timely reporting and uphold control evidence following policy guidelines.

Collaborate with cross-functional partners: Partner with Operations (senior staff), Information Technology (IT), Trade Support, custodians, and portfolio managers to collect information, address issues, and prevent them from happening again.

Support and assist team members: Share knowledge and contribute to a consistent, well-documented reconciliation process.

Build product and process knowledge: Deepen familiarity with Principal Global Investors (PGI) workflows, inputs/dependencies, and data flows.

Key Responsibilities Identify and fix client data, trade, and reconciliation breaks.

Prepare reports and keep control evidence according to internal policy and client needs.

Work with internal and external collaborators to remove obstacles and prevent issues from happening again.

Complete assigned accounts punctually and with precision.

Investigate discrepancies thoroughly.

Understand inputs, dependencies, and data flow across systems and custodians in detail.

Build strong connections with senior operations, IT, custodians, and industry contacts to speed up issue resolution.

Develop a solid understanding of PGI products, team procedures, and client requirements by engaging in self-directed study, training sessions, and ongoing investment operations work.

Continuously improve break resolution (5%): Expand your knowledge of financial markets, security data, and process sensitivities.

Use these insights to suggest and implement more efficient ways to resolve breaks.

Who You Are:

Education: & Experience: A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business is required.

Candidates should have 2–4 years of experience in investment or mutual fund operations or a related field.

Domain Knowledge: Good understanding of capital markets and investment operations.

Core Capabilities: Analytical and problem-solving skills; strong interpersonal and communication abilities; capacity to work collaboratively with Operations, IT, Trade Support, custodians, and portfolio managers.

Offer timely, respectful, and outstanding service at a fair cost.

Act ethically in line with applicable laws, the Corporate Code of Ethics, employee handbook, and compliance and operational procedures.

Skills That Help You to Stand Out Hands-on Experience: Asset management reconciliations, including Market Value Reconciliations and investigation of discrepancies.

Data Interpretation: Ability to interpret data flows and dependencies across custodian, trade support, and portfolio/accounting systems; strong documentation rigor.

Relationship Building: Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external collaborators to speed up issue resolution and promote ongoing improvement.

Tools/Technologies: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (lookups, pivots), Share Point; experience with reconciliation platforms (e.g., DUCO), custodian portals, and trade support/portfolio accounting systems.
