- What You'll Do We’re looking for an Investment Manager
- Capital Markets to join our Commercial Real Estate Private Equity Real Estate team.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for sourcing, coordinating and implementing secured and unsecured financing arrangements in real estate investments managed by Principal Real Estate Investors!
Relationship management of external lending relationships and execution of these financing arrangements Strategy consultant with Portfolio Management in determining the best financing execution for their properties and portfolio Execute the determined financing strategy (including preparation, sourcing, negotiation and documentation of various debt structures).

Who You Are Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with evidence of a strong background in finance, mathematics, economics, or business, and preferably real estate 5+ years of real estate financing experience including dealing with complex real estate transactions Debt fund financing experience highly preferred.
Otherwise, Commercial real estate lending experience (Bank, Life Insurance - mortgages, Commercial Mortgage-Backed Securities CMBS) Skills That Will Help You Stand Out Data Center financing experience highly preferred Strong analytical skills with experience reading, interpreting, and understanding contracts and other real estate related legal documents Real estate financing or debt structure negotiation experience Strong verbal communication and negotiation skills (via phone, in person, and making presentations) Stellar project management and planning skills, the ability to run effective meetings, and the demonstrated ability to meet deadlines Flexible with a professional demeanor including experience meeting with and effectively interacting with others Limited travel, as needed, to markets, to meet with lenders and partners in order to foster and maintain lending relationships and investment partner relationships.

Salary: ranges below reflect targeted base salaries.
Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program.
Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance.
Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
Salary: Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly) $127000 - $171000 / year
Salary: Details Compensation The base salary range for this role is $127,000 – $171,000 as indicated above.
Final compensation will be determined based on skills, experience, and alignment with the role’s responsibilities.
In addition to base pay, this role participates in an annual profit share bonus plan.

Time Off Program Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness.
Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.
Pension Eligible No Location(s) The preferred location is based out of our World Headquarters located in Des Moines, IA.
