About the Team

The Product Trust team at Postman is responsible for building and maintaining highly secure, scalable, and reliable platform services that safeguard our users and their data. These services form the foundation of customer trust—from authentication and access controls to secret scanning, auditing, and compliance.

We work across the stack and across teams, partnering closely with infrastructure, product, and security to deliver solutions that protect our global user base.

The Opportunity

We are looking for an exceptional Senior Engineer who will lead the development of next-generation systems within the Product Trust domain. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in building critical platform components, enjoys solving complex infrastructure challenges, and has a deep appreciation for both security and user experience.

You will play a key role in shaping the technical roadmap, owning delivery end-to-end, and mentoring other engineers as we build resilient systems at scale.

What You’ll Do

  • Design, build, and maintain tier 0 systems that are secure, scalable, and highly available.
  • Take ownership of backend infrastructure that powers core trust and security features at Postman.
  • Work with your manager and senior team members to evolve the technical roadmap for the Product Trust team and guide architectural decisions.
  • Contribute to product design by bringing in a security and trust lens to every feature we ship.
  • Lead engineering best practices in code quality, observability, incident response, and system reliability.
  • Mentor engineers within the team and support hiring, onboarding, and planning efforts.

About You

  • 5+ years of experience in backend or full-stack engineering roles, ideally in platform or security-focused domains.
  • Expertise with Node.js,TypeScript/JavaScript, and web frameworks (e.g., React) along with solid web fundamentals.
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems,databases(SQL/NoSQL),web services, and backend architecture.
  • Passion for building products that are secure by design and delightfully simple for users.
  • Demonstrated experience driving projects from ideation to production.
  • Strong system design, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively across team boundaries.
  • Experience with mentoring engineers or leading small teams is a strong plus.

At Postman we value in person collaboration. We are in office 5 days a week for all roles based out of our hubs in San Francisco Bay Area, Boston, Austin, Tokyo and London. For roles based in Bangalore, employees currently work in the office three days a week and will transition to five days per week by the end of the year. We were thoughtful in our approach which is based on collaboration and grounded in feedback from our workforce, leadership team, and peers. The benefits of our in office model will be shared knowledge, brainstorming sessions, communication, and building trust in-person that cannot be replicated via zoom.
