About the role
Job Title: Specialty Care Inline Portfolio & LCM Strategy Lead, Specialty Care Japan Reporting Line:

Position Purpose:

The Specialty Care Inline Portfolio & LCM Strategy Lead is accountable for end-to-end lifecycle and portfolio strategy for inline Specialty Care products in Japan, especially at the important milestones such as; new indication added, new formulations, or pre-LOE planning

This role integrates Life Cycle Management (LCM) with portfolio-level strategic planning, ensuring sustained value delivery across products while proactively managing risks and identifying opportunities with financial impact.

The role acts as a project manager (PMO) or a project lead representing SC commercial team, or single point of coordination, aligning Global / ICO strategies with Japan-specific market realities, and enabling cross-functional teams to execute cohesive, forward-looking portfolio and lifecycle plans and execution.

Key Responsibilities(主な職務・責任)

Life Cycle Management (LCM) Leadership

Own the country-specific LCM strategy for inline products, aligned with Global / ICO LCM frameworks focusing on RD businesses (expected projects: new formulation, additional indications of RD business)

Lead scenario planning related to pre-post LOE, formulation evolution, and potential generic or biosimilar entry, with clear risks and mitigation actions. (expected projects: LOE forecasting for I&I and RD product)

Ensure organizational readiness for lifecycle transitions, including internal alignment, communication planning, and execution governance.

Portfolio Strategy & Planning

Own and drive the inline Specialty Care portfolio strategy in Japan, ensuring prioritization of resources and initiatives across products.

Develop and maintain a mid- to long-term portfolio roadmap, integrating commercial, medical, access, and regulatory perspectives.

Translate Global / ICO portfolio and brand strategies into Japan-optimized plans, reflecting local pricing rules, access pathways, and competitive landscape.

Assist SC commercial leads or brand leads, as well as SC TA lead at OP process to work closely with Finance team as an overall SC portfolio planning

Commercial & Transition Readiness

Support formulation or new indication launches or transitions (e.g., line extensions, formulation changes) in close collaboration with brand and functional teams, working closely with launch excellence team where applicable.

Risk Management & Escalation
-
Watch carefully market/regulation changes to Identify, track, and proactively mitigate portfolio- and LCM-critical risks, such as pricing erosion rule changes, substitution exposure, and access disruption.

Escalate issues early with clear options and recommendations, enabling timely decision-making at country and above-market levels.

Experience
-
5+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with roles in marketing, portfolio strategy, or lifecycle management preferred.

Or some background of consultancy work at health care industries.

Experience in aunch preparation and/or major lifecycle transitions is highly preferred
-
Experience in any diseases in Specialty care is a plus.

Language
Business-level proficiency in Japanese and English (written and verbal)
