Via Cord, a Revvity Company, provides newborn stem cell preservation and genomic services for expectant families. Newborn stem cells are a valuable source of non-controversial stem cells: the building blocks of our blood and immune systems. The value and benefits of stem cells found in umbilical cord blood are clear; cord blood collection saves lives today and medical researchers are exploring new uses for umbilical cord blood stem cells for tomorrow, including diabetes, heart disease, and stroke.
If you are seeking a meaningful, impactful, and stimulating career, look no further. Via Cord is seeking a Senior Cord Blood Advisor to join our Inside Sales Team! This position is for an enthusiastic, goal-oriented person who thrives in a competitive and fast-paced sales environment. The work schedule for this role is from 9 AM PST - 6 PM PST/ 12 PM EST - 9 PM EST.
As a Cord Blood Advisor, you will educate families on our newborn stem cell preservation and genetic screening services. Using a consultative sales process, you will guide expecting parents through our service offerings, advise them on the best options for their family, and confidently guide them to a decision by proactively asking for the sale. Responsibilities:
- Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales goals.
- Document and track all leads, contacts, opportunities, and activity history consistently and in accordance with best practices within Salesforce.com
- Manage and maintain a detailed pipeline to achieve assigned monthly quota.
- Contact existing client base to gain referrals and offer additional service options.
- Demonstrate technical capacity to understand sales tools (Web, database, CRM, Order Management, reports).
- Be able to effectively articulate technical and/or clinical information in an easily understood manner.
- Master product information for accurate dissemination to clients.
- Educate prospective customers on the value of newborn stem cell banking and other services provided by Via Cord.
- Comply with assigned schedules (including on-call rotation), assignments, and productivity metrics.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree, required
- 5+ years of sales experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years of direct selling in a B2C (business to consumer) environment.
- Formally trained in a selling methodology (e.g., Consultative, SPIN, Challenger, etc).
- Strong analytical skills complimented by a successful track record in sales.
- Bi-lingual in either Spanish or Chinese a plus but not required.
- Self-motivated to exceed goals and ability to thrive in a team environment.
- Ability to create a sense of urgency and the follow-up skills to close sales.
- Articulate and professional with an enthusiastic attitude and a focus on results.
- Experience in a fast paced, inbound/outbound call environment is strongly desired.
- Strong interpersonal, written, phone and listening skills.
- Superior time management, planning and organizational skills.
Working Conditions:
The primary working condition associated with this position is working independently in the office environment.

The shift times are 12 PM EST - 9 PM EST or 9 AM PST/6 PM PST

10am - 7pm ET Saturday shift, for which you can take a weekday off
leading up to it

Requires the ability sit and/or stand for prolonged periods of time in a cubicle.
Requires effective management of conflict and emotional or stressful situations
The base salary range for this full-time position is $60,000.00 - $70,000.00. Sales commission of $35,000.00 at goal. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for a new hire in this position. The base pay actually offered to the successful candidate will take into account internal equity, work location, and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. Please note that base pay is only one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This range allows for the successful candidate to have an opportunity to progress within the position and develop at our company. This base pay range does not take into account bonuses, equity, or other benefits which may be applicable and are dependent on the level and position offered.

Perkin Elmer S23 Autosampler issue
I hate this Autosampler so much. It went to working, and not suddenly the Z axis up and down for the probe doesn't work. It will move anywhere you tell it, but the probe itself is not moving up and down. I slowly and gently tested it and it can move (no mechanical obstruction), but is doesn't. There is also this crap on the movement bar. Any idea how to fix this?
