The Customer Support Field Engineer at Revvity provides expert service and support for diagnostic instruments, focusing on installation, maintenance, and repair, especially in newborn screening laboratories. This role is based in Los Angeles, CA with up to 25% travel supporting the Western United States. , to ensure optimal instrument performance, meet maintenance schedules, and drive high customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation, Maintenance, and Repair: Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of Revvity instruments, aiming for zero service recalls. Provide preventive maintenance and warranty services to contract and non-contract customers.
  • Business Development: Drive sales of value-added services such as service contracts, upgrades, and laboratory products. Support local sales teams to secure new instrument orders and contribute to company profitability.
  • Information/Asset Management: Maintain accurate records, manage inventory, and ensure proper handling of company assets like tools and vehicles.
  • Continuous Skill Development: Participate in ongoing technical and professional development to enhance customer service and maintain certifications.

Physical Requirements:

  • Regular walking, standing, and use of hands for handling tools and equipment.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 100 pounds.
  • Must be able to operate a motor vehicle safely for travel within the assigned territory.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree with some mass spectrometry experience.
  • Valid driver’s license and knowledge of laboratory safety practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Electronics, Mechanics,

Compensation:

The base salary range for this full-time position is $70,000-$80,000. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for a new hire in this position. The base pay actually offered to the successful candidate will take into account internal equity, work location, and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Please note that base pay is only one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This range allows for the successful candidate to have an opportunity to progress within the position and develop at our company. This base pay range does not take into account bonuses, equity, or other benefits which may be applicable and are dependent on the level and position offered."
