Overview:
The Principal Financial Analyst – Life Sciences is responsible for financial reporting and analysis for the Revvity Life Sciences business (~$1.4 billion in annual revenue), ensuring the effective development and execution of global forecasting (annual and quarterly) and management reporting processes. This role also drives the continuous improvement of reporting through automation. The Principal Financial Analyst provides direct support to the Life Sciences global leadership team and serves as a key contributor in enabling informed business decisions, reporting to the Vice President of Finance for Life Sciences. This is a hybrid, onsite position based at Revvity’s headquarters in Waltham, MA.
Responsibilities:
- Leadership Reporting & Strategic Analysis: Provide ad hoc and recurring analysis to the Life Sciences leadership team for monthly meetings, strategic goal setting, annual operating plans, long-range planning and monthly/quarterly operational reviews.
- Budget Management & Financial Planning: Manage the Life Sciences Product management and R&D budget, including supporting the annual operating plan setting process, regular tracking & reporting, as well as working with operating partners to meet targets.
- Operating Metrics & Performance Tracking: Develop, track, analyze and report key operating metrics for Global Life Sciences to highlight areas for improvement, help both connective & collective businesses to establish consistent performance measurement approaches and business review mechanisms.
- P&L Analysis & Forecast Monitoring: Monitor the Global Life Sciences P&L (revenue and expenses) against forecast, prior periods and the annual operating plan, providing analytics, measuring KPIs, and trending to LS Leadership.
- Corporate FP&A Partnership: Serve as the key contact window for Corporate FP&A with regard to Corporate reporting & operating rhythms.
- Team Leadership & Operational Analysis: Lead and mentor junior finance resources to track, analyze and report key operation areas including R&D and cash. Create reproducible value-add analysis that the business to improve operational rigor and efficiency.
- Cross-Functional & Global Collaboration: Utilize leadership and interpersonal skills to interact with cross-functional teams in a global matrix environment. This position works with various functions of the company across the globe and work activities require direct interaction with senior business and finance leaders throughout Revvity.
- Systems & Transformation Leadership: Actively contribute to and influence financial systems and process design amid ongoing digital and ERP transformations, with a focus on improving forecasting, planning, and reporting capabilities. Partner with stakeholders to help shape the future-state financial infrastructure and ensure tools and processes support evolving business needs.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
- A minimum of 8 years of corporate finance experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Excellent Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Working knowledge of SAP, Hyperion, Microsoft D365, Business Objects and Spotfire.
- Collaborative, high-engagement team player with a strong sense of ownership and performance focus.
- Comfortable around senior management. Demonstrates ability to be effective in a matrix-reporting environment. Strong multi-cultural interpersonal skills. Builds constructive and effective relationships.
- Allocates time and resources efficiently, able to adapt to shifting priorities; continually seeks way to improve individual/team efficiency.
- Consistently delivers high-quality work within tight timelines.
- Shows initiative and accountability with a clear focus on achieving outcomes.
- Pays attention to detail and accuracy of information.
The base salary range for this full-time position is $100,000.00 - $140,000.00. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for a new hire in this position. The base pay actually offered to the successful candidate will take into account internal equity, work location, and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
Please note that base pay is only one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This range allows for the successful candidate to have an opportunity to progress within the position and develop at our company. This base pay range does not take into account bonuses, equity, or other benefits which may be applicable and are dependent on the level and position offered.
