Is this black mold?

Hello all, just got the keys to a new apt (US-TX) and noticed what’s in the pic on one of the vents in the kitchen. It also looks like it may be in the bathroom vent that is right next to the kitchen. Please advise - does the look like black mold?? \*Note: we are going to request that the apt test it to be sure, but wanted to ask here to see how concerned we should be. Thanks in advance!!
