About the role

  • Overview This role is for a sensory analyst based in the Little island site responsible for preparing and analysing sensory samples for Little Island and Carrigaline Pepsi sites. Responsibilities
  • Ensure the accurate and timely analysis and disposition of products in sensory laboratory in compliance with ISO17025 accreditation
  • Become familiar with the material/product portfolio
  • Registering QC samples in the laboratory management systems accurately
  • Meticulous attention to sample data entry and preparation
  • Prepare all sensory samples in a timely manner
  • Ensure timely and effective issue resolution and communication
  • Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment as required.
  • Maintain all relevant records and samples in an organised system for quick and effective access to information with a particular focus on trace-ability
  • Adhere to safe lab practices and GLP
  • Organise the replenishment of relevant laboratory supplies
  • Support issues relating to concentrate sensory quality
  • Liaise with manufacturing and R&D on the smooth introduction of new products during and after scale-up.
  • A requirement of this role is that all Pepsi Co Health and Safety requirements are adhered to. Qualifications Essential criteria BSc in food science, chemistry or equivalent Additional Desired qualifications and/or experience Testing experience Ability to manage a varied workload. Ability to work on own initiative, self-motivated.
