Position Summary
A Penske Lead Transportation Support Services Coordinator provides day-to-day support and first point of escalation for all TSS Associates. In addition to performing any of the tasks expected of a TSS Coordinator, they may also monitor workload levels, perform task assignments, assist management with specific needs, ongoing training of associates, and handle overflow customer issues for the Supervisor.
Schedule: Tuesday–Saturday 10am–6:30pm (must be flexible to work other shifts as needed; supporting PTO coverage)
Responsibilities:
- Acting as subject matter expert to TSS Associates on the floor and perform TSS duties if necessary
- Assist in mentoring new and existing TSS Associates and ensure junior Associates are seated with senior Associates as necessary.
- Assist Management in monitoring calls, perform quality audits, and carry out special requirements
- Provide follow up to internal and external customer requests through email and by phone
- Assist Supervisor in managing TSS Associates' breaks, lunches, work assignments, etc.
- Other duties and tasks assigned by supervisor or manager
Qualifications:• High School Diploma or equivalent required• 1-2 years of previous customer service experience required • 1-2 years of call center experience, dispatch, and/or other trucking industry experience required • Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Strong customer service skills and must be customer oriented • Ability to develop a team required • Must have strong written and verbal communication• Intermediate computer literacy required• Must be a self-starter and be able to act independently and make decisions • Must have a strong sense of urgency• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job• Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history), and drug screening are required.
