Job Summary:

Our AI Decisioning Platform is the foundational engine that drives critical decisions across fraud, credit risk, compliance, and more — processing massive volumes of data in milliseconds to keep our ecosystem safe and trustworthy.We are seeking a Product Manager to lead the strategy, execution, and evolution of PayPal’s core decisioning stack — focusing on the Agentic Response System. This is a mission-critical role with broad horizontal impact, empowering multiple domains to make faster, smarter, and more scalable decisions.
You will drive the reimagination of our Agentic Response System - monitoring, detecting and alerting about data anomalies and fraud attacks - and partner with engineering and domain stakeholders to increase decision speed, improve performance, and enable platform-wide innovation.
Job Description:
Essential Responsibilities:
- Inputs to product strategy with cross-functional stakeholders consistent with the shared vision for the product or enabling platform.
- Implements the architectural roadmap that balances innovative design and technical implementation, while balancing regulatory requirements, time-to-market, meeting customer needs and product profitability.
- Controls for the customer experience and customer needs in product requirements and as an input to decision making.
- Monitors metrics that inform the success of products including usability studies, research and market analysis.
- Manages one or more workstreams to include analytics, customer discovery, market research and competitive analysis to drive data-driven decision-making.
- Monitors product profitability measures, including budget.
- Participates in operational mechanisms that drive execution and accountability including Product Reviews, Operating Reviews, and Business Reviews. Interfaces with product and technology leadership as needed.
- Partners with content developers, data scientists, product designers and user experience researchers.
Expected Qualifications:
- 5+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.

What You’ll Own
Platform Vision and Capabilities
Define and drive the 0-to-1 conceptualization of the Agentic Response System platform required to support the growing needs of PayPal.
Own the investment and roadmap for the platform.
Build the platform with product development and architecture.
Maintain and support the platform, ensuring definition and ongoing monitoring of Platform KPIs.
Be in our users’ shoes and gain a deep understanding of customer experiences and preferences and funnel the requirements to build a scalable infrastructure.
Create use cases and product requirement documents to articulate desired service features and functionality to the user experience and technology teams for both tactical project delivery and long-term strategic direction of the platform.
Platform Integration
Understand integration needs (internal systems and external); assimilate and synthesize the needs of various stakeholders into a common set of platform capabilities.
Assess buy vs. build and work with 3rd parties to integrate platform capabilities on a case-by-case basis.
Product Leadership
Lead by influence, with strong execution skills and focus.
Lead project teams of engineers and designers to ensure that the product platform delivers to requirements and meets business needs.
Collaborate across business and technical areas to manage all aspects of the platform.
Present business cases, product roadmaps, and strategies to key stakeholders and executives.
What We’re Looking For
Minimum Qualifications
8+ years of industry experience, with 6+ years of technical Product Management.
2+ years working on Agentic and LLM solutions, preferably within Finance, Risk and/or Compliance.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field, such as Computer Science.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working on Data Analytics, Feature Engineering, Machine Learning Operations (MLOps), AI infrastructure, and/or decisioning systems.
Experience in building core, risk or compliance platforms.
Skill sets: analytical, problem solver, strategic planning, leadership, project management and execution, communication with diverse audiences and stakeholders, (written, verbal, and oral).
