Job Summary:
The Head of Consumer, Germany is a senior leadership role responsible for deeply understanding the needs of German consumers, prioritizing those needs, and driving solutions with Pay Pal’s global product and engineering teams. The successful individual will own the consumer strategy, growth agenda, and market share expansion for Pay Pal in Germany — one of Pay Pal’s most important and competitive European markets.

- Drive revenue growth and global market expansion by identifying and cultivating strategic partnerships, channels, and opportunities
- Lead the negotiation with external partners and engage cross-functional support colleagues to ensure the successful delivery of solutions for large complex partnerships
- Develop and execute an overall business strategy to identify and cultivate strategic partnerships, channels, and opportunities to drive revenue growth and global market expansion

- Align product and business levers (such as pricing and FX) to maximize revenue and market expansion opportunities
- Engage closely with product, engineering, and architecture teams to drive the architectural runway and determine the best technical implementation/design

Develop and execute the commercial strategy for Pay Pal’s consumer financial services product segment in partnership with global Consumer Financial Services teams.

Define positioning, pricing, promotional strategy, and distribution approaches tailored to German consumer expectations and regulatory standards.

Ensure adherence to German consumer-protection regulations, including vulnerable customer considerations, customer-outcome monitoring, and responsible product design.

Commercial Operations

Oversee day-to-day commercial operations and ensure efficient processes to support growth and performance.

Own the full P&L for consumer and product segments in Germany.

Lead the annual operating plan, forecasts, and financial planning cycles.

Cross-Functional Leadership

Collaborate across Product, Engineering, Operations, Partnerships, Risk, Legal, Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Business Development to deliver aligned outcomes in a complex matrix environment.

Expected Qualifications• Minimum 18 years of relevant experience with deep expertise in consumer financial services and/or digital consumer products.
