Our Pay Pal, Venmo, and Xoom products also make it safer and simpler for friends and family to transfer funds to each other. We offer merchants an end-to-end payments solution that provides authorization and settlement capabilities, as well as instant access to funds and payouts. We also help merchants connect with their customers, process exchanges and returns, and manage risk. We enable consumers to engage in cross-border shopping and merchants to extend their global reach while reducing the complexity and friction involved in enabling cross-border trade.

Job Summary:
This job contributes to product strategy alongside cross-functional stakeholders, ensuring alignment with the shared vision. It requires a customer-obsessed, outcome-focused and self-driven individual. You are expected to be able to navigate and influence in a hyper-matrixed global organization and work cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders. You are someone who would thrive in continuously uncovering opportunities and leading programs to create value and drive growth through product launches, enhancements and customer adoption initiatives in the assigned APAC markets. Job Description:
Essential Responsibilities:
- Inputs to product strategy with cross-functional stakeholders consistent with the shared vision for the product or enabling platform.
- Implements the architectural roadmap that balances innovative design and technical implementation, while balancing regulatory requirements, time-to-market, meeting customer needs and product profitability.
- Controls for the customer experience and customer needs in product requirements and as an input to decision making.
- Monitors metrics that inform the success of products including usability studies, research and market analysis.
- Manages one or more workstreams to include analytics, customer discovery, market research and competitive analysis to drive data-driven decision-making.
- Monitors product profitability measures, including budget.
- Participates in operational mechanisms that drive execution and accountability including Product Reviews, Operating Reviews, and Business Reviews. Interfaces with product and technology leadership as needed.
- Partners with content developers, data scientists, product designers and user experience researchers.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Combine a deep understanding of our evolving global platform offerings, market trends, with internal and external learnings, to inform and support ongoing product strategy and initiatives and continuously improve the impact of our value story and commercialization success.

Manages one or more workstreams to include analytics, customer discovery, market research and competitive analysis to drive data-driven decision-making.

Initiate and support market research to understand the evolving needs of consumers and merchants and share those insights and implications with key stakeholders across the organization.

Partner cross-functionally to evolve Pay Pal’s productvalue proposition and messaging framework for merchants & consumers, setting the standard for storytelling and driving relevance and differentiation in market.

Lead & build a customer-centric and commercially viable product go-to-market and growth strategies and work cross-functionally with stakeholders to deliver on the strategies and plan.

Monitors metrics that inform the success of products including profitability measures, usability studies, research and market analysis and make GTM / product refinement whenever necessary.
Preferred Qualification

Demonstrated experience and competency in end-to-end product marketing / go-to-market management—from inbound (e.g., market research and opportunity discovery) to outbound (e.g., new product launches and driving ongoing adoption).

Track record of working independently and effectively in a cross-functional, hyper-matrixed environment.

Highly entrepreneurial, self-driven and independent

Has a curious mindset and a natural inclination for creative problem solving

Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence across functions and levels

Analytical and methodical – able to manage multiple, high-priority work streams with the agility, and the ability to continually reprioritize in line with dynamic business strategies.

Prior experience in APAC markets a plus.

Bilingual proficiency in Japanese and English would be advantageous, as the role involves engaging both English and/or Japanese- speaking stakeholders and peers in Japan and regionally
