Job Description:

Essential Responsibilities:

• Implement testing, inspection, and auditing processes to maintain quality standards.
• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product and service quality.
• Architect and implement robust, highly scalable test automation frameworks to support comprehensive testing needs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate quality assurance into the development lifecycle and support the implementation of Pay Pal products.
• Monitor system performance, proactively troubleshoot issues, and drive root cause analysis to resolution.
• Conduct in-depth requirement analysis to assess testability and identify potential risks early in the product development cycle.
• Plan and execute test strategies, including detailed test plans and scripts, for each release to ensure product quality.
• Lead defect management, including tracking, triaging, and driving resolutions during user acceptance testing.
• Execute automated test scripts using advanced automation tools, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in testing processes.
• Perform exploratory, usability, and functional testing to uncover edge cases and improve the user experience.

Expected Qualifications:

• 3+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Additional Responsibilities & Preferred Qualifications: We are looking for a skilled Senior SDET with AWS Cloud expertise and backend testing experience, to develop and maintain automated test frameworks for testing partner integrations in AWS platform. They also have to enhance CI/CD pipelines, and ensure system reliability through backend, web and AWS platform testing. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, lead testing efforts, and drive quality best practices. At Pay Pal, we work together as small, collaborative teams. We’re passionate about code quality and constantly strive to perfect our processes and products. You will be a key member in the high performing team, directly contributing to Pay Pal’s vision of reaching a billion active users.
We work closely with our design, content, and product teams to build, test, and iterate on innovative solutions that address customer needs. Our dedicated teams support Continuous Integration, Quality, and Release processes, ensuring that code is published on a weekly basis for fast-paced and efficient development cycles.

• Oversee the complete testing lifecycle, including requirement gathering, test planning, execution, and reporting.

• Develop and maintain automation frameworks for web, API, AWS and mobile testing.

• Build, maintain, and execute E2E automation test suites for assigned projects.

• Design and implement robust test automation strategies using industry-standard tools.

• Utilize source control systems (GIT experience is an advantage).

• Work with testing frameworks such as TestNG.

• Use API tools like Postman and similar technologies.

• Ensure quality assurance (QA) methodologies are followed and continuously improved.

• Develop and maintain clear, concise documentation.

• Effectively manage concurrent assignments with different priorities.

• What You Need to Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.

• A sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the company’s success.

• 8+ years of industry experience in software testing and automation. Experience with a variety of different testing techniques such as UI Testing, Mobile App Testing, Automated Testing, Test Driven Development Strategies, and others.  Experience with software QA tools and processes.

• Good understanding of AWS CloudWatch, AWS Fault Injection Simulator and AWS X-Ray

• Service and UI automation experience across web and mobile applications (Experience with mobile testing using Appium or Espresso is a plus).

• Experience working with REST APIs and backend automation using Selenium and Java (Java is a required language).

• Good understanding of QA methodologies and strong knowledge of QA automation processes and tools.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to produce clear, concise documentation.

• Highly effective at working in cross-functional groups and achieving results in matrix organizations.

• Detail-oriented approach to generating test reports to ensure product quality and reliability.

•  Hands-on experience with tools & technologies like Postman for API testing & Test Data creation,  Jira for Project and Bug Tracking, CI-CD pipeline to run automation jobs.

• Should be familiar with AWS Code Pipeline + Code Build + Code Deploy

• Strong experience with scripting languages such as Shell, Python, or Perl (a plus).

• Excellent time management skills and ability to handle multiple priorities effectively.

• Experience in In-Store Payments industry is an added advantage.

• Good to have XCUITest or Espresso automation experience.
