Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and creatively driven Associate Producer to support a portfolio of sports podcast programming distributed across audio platforms, YouTube, Paramount+, and social. This role is embedded across the full podcast lifecycle, from episode planning and recording support to post-production with an emphasis on social media, publishing, clipping, and audience growth.
The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced recording environments, has strong editorial instincts, has a passion for sports (especially football) and understands how to translate podcast moments into compelling, high-performing digital content that resonates on social. A passion for podcast storytelling, audience engagement, and cross-platform distribution is essential.
Your Day to Day
Podcast Pre-Production
-
Pitch story ideas and editorial beats for daily and weekly podcast episodes
-
Help shape episode structure, segment flow, and pacing with producers and hosts
-
Build and organize show assets (graphics, images, B-roll, archival elements)
-
Prepare engagement elements such as YouTube polls, prompts, and pinned comments
-
Coordinate show needs across producers, hosts, and social teams
-
Assist with show notes, episode descriptions, and discussion outlines
Recording / In-Show Execution
-
Capture real-time timecodes and notes to support clipping and post-production
-
Support and moderate YouTube Live chat during live or premiere recordings
-
Run and monitor audience engagement tools during shows
-
Pull visual assets in real time for video podcast recordings
-
Support producers with pacing notes, editorial awareness, and live feedback
-
Identify and flag clip-worthy moments as episodes are recorded
Post-Production & Distribution:
-
Publish and manage podcast episodes across audio feeds, YouTube, and Paramount+
-
Write episode titles, descriptions, and pinned comments to drive engagement
-
Flag key moments and segments for social and editorial teams
-
Create social graphics and cut podcast clips for X/Twitter and other platforms
-
Own posting and distribution of select clips and VODs
-
Deliver clean post-show notes and summaries
Social & Audience Growth:
-
Produce platform-specific clips optimized for performance and discoverability
-
Manage the YouTube Community (Posts) tab
-
Collaborate on podcast growth strategy, testing formats and packaging
-
Track episode and clip performance to inform future decisions
-
Maintain organized systems for episodes, clips, and assets
-
Help evolve the visual identity and voice of podcasts across platforms
Additional Production Support:
-
Support additional podcasts as a producer or associate producer as needed
-
Serve as backup producer for select live and VOD programming
-
Assist with sponsorship reads, integrations, and tracking
-
Provide coverage during breaking news or rapid-response episodes
-
Support hosts and producers during high-volume recording periods
Qualifications:
-
Experience producing audio and video programming
-
Passion for sports & strong knowledge of football
-
2–5 years of professional experience working in media or production environments
-
Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn insights into actionable decisions
-
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with experience working closely with on-air talent and production teams
-
Proven ability to collaborate with and help guide the editorial direction of multiple shows
-
Experience managing tight production schedules and translating ideas into execution
-
Demonstrated ability to keep communication clear and consistent across teams
-
A sharp editorial eye and a talent for delivering thoughtful, constructive feedback on both content and performance
