Job Summary Your Career The role of Consulting Director in Unit 42 is a senior-level consulting position. The individual will be responsible for the day to day delivery of our threat-led and technology driven cyber security consulting services, leading and overseeing a team of Consultants on their engagements. This person will have experience in developing and coaching team members, and working with sales and domain leaders. The Consulting Director will work with a dedicated Regional Business Development Manager (BDM) and Customer Success Manager (CSM) to deliver pitches and prepare proposals to win new business and manage client relationships. We are seeking an individual who is passionate about cyber security and making a difference. You will be a continuous learner and have a sound knowledge of the emerging cybersecurity trends and technologies. The individual serves as a trusted advisor to clients, is dedicated to delivering technical consulting services to an exceptional standard, thrives in a fast paced team environment, and advocates for innovative approaches to deliver the best outcomes for our cross-sector clients. Your Role You are an Industry-recognized inspiring leader with media and public speaking experience, deeply embedded in the information security community Partner with the Unit 42 executive team and capability leaders to develop and execute strategy for the Unit 42 practice Oversee the delivery of our proactive and/or reactive consulting services, ensuring their consistency, quality and highest level of customer service Provide hands-on, expert-level cybersecurity assessment and transformation services to clients and deliver findings to CxO and/or Board of Directors as required Work with the BDM and CSM to perform pipeline generation activities Lead scoping and services overview conversations with clients for prospective engagements in area of expertise, presenting with credibility and authority, clearly articulating various approaches and methodologies to audiences ranging from highly technical to executive personnel Drive innovation in Unit 42’s offerings, collaborating with consulting and cross-functional teams to bring new capabilities and services to market Manage the productivity of a team through attainment of utilisation targets Collaborate with peers and leaders across Unit 42 to drive operational and practice development goals Recruit, onboard and work to retain world class talent to support our growth goals Support the professional growth and development of our consultants through training and technical enablement Foster and maintain a culture that attracts and retains smart, collaborative team members dedicated to executing with excellence Identify and execute strategies for service development, enablement, and product adoption Cultivate and maintain relationships with key clientele to increase awareness of Unit 42’s’ capabilities and provide on-demand expertise for client needs Amplify Unit 42s’ presence and credibility in the marketplace through thought leadership, including via speaking engagements, articles, whitepapers, and media exposure Qualifications Your Experience 12+ years of hands-on experience delivering a wide range of cybersecurity consulting services, including at least 4 of the following, for global enterprise customers: Security operations Digital forensics & Incident response Offensive Security - Red & purple teaming Cloud security Cybersecurity strategy & transformations Security Architecture & Zero Trust Cyber crisis management Cybersecurity risk assessments Application security (including AI) Experience as a senior-level team leader including overseeing other principal, senior, and mid-level analyst/consultant teams Able to split your time across commercial support, client delivery, team leadership, individual mentoring, and technical expertise and skills maintenance activities Strong presentation, communication, and presentation skills with verifiable industry experience communicating at CxO and/or Board of Directors level Client services mindset and exceptional client management skills Public speaking experience, demonstrated writing ability, including technical reports, business communication, and thought leadership pieces Bachelor’s Degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Digital Forensics, Cyber Security, or equivalent years of professional experience or equivalent relevant experience or equivalent military experience required to meet job requirements and expectations Professional industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GIAC and other leading industry certifications in line with our services portfolio Expert level of knowledge of applicable laws, compliance regulations, and industry standards as it relates to privacy, security, and compliance You will have experience operating across not only across the Korean market, but globally as well Our Commitment We’re trailblazers that dream big, take risks, and challenge cybersecurity’s status quo.
