Director, Outbound Product Management – Oracle Database & AI Platforms

Oracle Database Outbound Product Management is seeking a strategic and highly technical Director-level leader to drive global go-to-market enablement for Oracle Database and next-generation AI-powered data platform initiatives. This role is ideal for a former DBA, architect, or deeply technical product leader who has evolved beyond hands-on tuning and patching into business leadership, executive influence, and market strategy.

The ideal candidate combines deep expertise in relational databases and enterprise data platforms with a strong understanding of artificial intelligence technologies and how they reshape modern application architectures. This leader will play a critical role in defining positioning, accelerating field readiness, influencing product direction, and driving customer adoption across Oracle’s AI-enabled database portfolio.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated success as a Director, Principal Product Manager, or Technical Business Leader delivering enterprise-scale platform initiatives.
  • Deep expertise in Oracle Database and relational database technologies, with strong understanding of their role in AI, analytics, and intelligent application ecosystems.
  • Proven experience leading outbound product management, GTM strategy, or technical enablement for complex enterprise software portfolios.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to influence senior leadership, customers, and partners across global organizations.
  • Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, including the ability to simplify advanced AI and data infrastructure concepts.
  • Recognized ability to lead through influence across Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Field organizations without direct authority.
  • Demonstrated success operating autonomously in ambiguous and rapidly evolving technology landscapes.
  • Strong working knowledge of enterprise AI/ML concepts including embeddings, vector search, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), AI agents, semantic search, and AI governance frameworks.
  • Experience working with cloud-native architectures, enterprise data platforms, and distributed systems is strongly preferred.
  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Experience Requirements:

  • 15+ years of experience in enterprise software, data platforms, database technologies, or related technical domains.
  • 12+ years of experience in product management, outbound product management, technical enablement, sales engineering, technical marketing, or comparable customer-facing leadership roles.
  • Experience leading strategic initiatives and influencing executive stakeholders within large-scale enterprise organizations.
  • Prior experience as a DBA, database architect, solutions architect, or technical consultant is highly valued.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $139,200 to $291,800 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead outbound product management strategy and execution for Oracle Database AI and intelligent data platform initiatives.
  • Define and operationalize global go-to-market strategies in partnership with Product Management, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success organizations.
  • Serve as a senior thought leader and evangelist for Oracle Database technologies, including AI-integrated capabilities, vector search, analytics, and intelligent application architectures.
  • Drive executive-level technical enablement for global field organizations, strategic customers, and partners.
  • Translate highly complex database, AI, and distributed systems concepts into clear business value propositions for both technical and executive audiences.
  • Influence roadmap prioritization and product direction through close engagement with engineering, customers, analysts, and field stakeholders.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives spanning multiple enterprise product lines and organizational boundaries.
  • Develop scalable messaging, sales plays, competitive positioning, technical assets, and customer-facing enablement content.
  • Represent Oracle externally through customer briefings, executive presentations, industry events, webinars, and strategic analyst interactions.
  • Mentor and guide senior product managers and technical leaders across the organization.
