What You’ll Do:

• Lead projects that untangle ambiguity, make design tradeoffs across scale, reliability, and cost under uncertainty, and mentor teams on applying AI patterns to workflows.

• Architect and build core CI/CD platform services that support thousands of engineers and high-volume production workloads.

• Lead large, ambiguous technical initiatives end-to-end—from problem definition through design, execution, and long-term operation.

• Identify systemic sources of complexity, technical debt, and operational risk, and drive durable solutions.

• Set technical direction and standards across the CI/CD platform, influencing design decisions well beyond your immediate team.

• Mentor senior engineers through design reviews, architectural discussions, and hands-on collaboration.

• Collaborate deeply with teams across OCI to deliver impactful, cohesive tools and workflows.

• Write clear, durable design documentation that enables alignment, onboarding, and long-term system evolution.

• Establish strong operational practices around reliability, observability, failure handling, and incident prevention.

• Drive and advocate for simplicity as a core engineering value—recognizing that making things simple is often the hardest and most valuable work.

What We’re Looking For:

• 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, with a track record of simplifying complex systems at scale.

• Experience designing and operating cloud platforms (OCI, AWS, Azure, or GCP).Proven experience designing, building, and operating large-scale, distributed systems with a focus on reliability, scalability, and maintainability.

• Strong programming skills in at least one language (e.g., Go, Python, Java) with solid distributed systems fundamentals.

• Hands-on expertise with containers, orchestration, and infrastructure as code.

• Experience applying AI-driven patterns (e.g., agentic workflows, evaluation frameworks, guardrails) to improve engineering velocity and reliability.

• Strong systems thinking with the ability to operate in ambiguous environments; owns problems end-to-end and drives data-informed experimentation.

• Demonstrates high learning velocity; rapidly iterates through hypotheses using feedback loops and retrospectives.

• Influences cross-team technical standards and elevates engineering practices beyond immediate scope.

• A track record of mentoring and technically leading engineers through ambiguity and scale.

• Deeply invested in system quality, simplicity, developer experience, and operational excellence.
