Qualifications:

BE/ME or equivalent in Computer Science or an equivalent area. MS/BS degree and/or equivalent 3-8 years of experience in Software Development.

Candidates for this role would be working on Oracle Zero Data Loss Recovery Appliance ( ) where the primary focus is on Oracle Database Backup & Recovery. As a member of the customer-facing development team, you will be primarily engaged in customer issues resolution by making product software fixes.

Required Skills:

Expert software development knowledge in C (or CPP) programming language, server/systems level experience in large enterprise class software.
Hands-on Understanding of PL/SQL Application Development.
Excellent understanding of System Architecture and Implementation experience in working/released products with high complexity. Hands-on Software System Design Experience (Client-Server Architecture, Data Flow Across System Components etc.)
Working knowledge of fault tolerant systems and ability to understand exception case handling.
Excellent debugging and problem solving experience on Linux/Unix environments, along with ability to identify product improvements. Hands-on Understanding of Oracle Database (A DBA-like experience).
Excellent analytical capabilities and logical reasoning skills.
Working knowledge of processing large amount of product diagnostics/logs/traces to generate meaningful analytics.
Knowledge of Project Management concepts/software (Jira, Sprints, etc.) and ability to multi-task and deal with shifting priorities.
Should have excellent written (including product documentation) and verbal (with presentation) communication skills. Strong communication skills in articulating the problem/concepts/solution. Ability to handle multiple priorities concurrently.

Additional Preferred Skills:

Working Knowledge of C Compiler, instructions optimization, etc.
Working experience in Database kernel internals.
Working experience of Cloud environment and processes.
Working experience in debugging basic networking problems and analyzing TCP dumps.
Ability to understand/modify code written in C is a big plus.
