The Director of Scientific Analytics will be responsible for overseeing and leading a team of 50+ employees focused on advanced scientific analytics across Research Services (RS), including Real-World Data (RWD) analytics, Biostatistics, Advanced Commercial Analytics and other related analyses to support all domains. This role requires a strategic leader with strong expertise in analytic methodologies, research design, and the ability to drive scalable solutions for analyzing complex data. The Director will ensure the alignment of analytics capabilities with business goals and will lead a team of highly skilled data scientists and biostatisticians to deliver actionable insights and evidence for both internal and external stakeholders.
Skills & Qualifications:

A minimum of 10 years of experience in pharmaceutical or CRO consultation, leading and scaling teams of scientific analytics, with expertise in RWD, biostatistics, or other relevant domains.

Spans multiple therapeutic areas of expertise with proven track record in pharma deliverables and extensive life science consultative experience.

Proven track record of leadership in a data science or biostatistics function, including managing teams of analytics professionals.

Strong expertise in analytics tools, software, and statistical modeling techniques.

Deep understanding of research methodologies, especially clinical research, epidemiology, and real-world evidence.

Experience working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

PhD or advanced degree in biostatistics, epidemiology, data science, or related field is preferred.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $139,400 to $291,800 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership: Provide leadership and vision to the Scientific Analytics function, ensuring that analytics capabilities are aligned with both current and future business goals. Define and drive the analytics strategy for RWD, biostatistics, commercial support Research Services.

Tech Innovation: Lead the adoption of innovative technologies and methodologies in the analytics space, focusing on real-world data, statistical modeling, and predictive analytics. Partner with other departments, such as AI Tech and Data Management, to incorporate new tools and improve analytics capabilities.

Team Development & Management: Build and lead a diverse team of data scientists, biostatisticians, and analytics professionals. Foster a collaborative and results-driven environment to support the development of advanced analytics solutions. Provide mentorship, coaching, and professional development to team members.

Collaboration & Cross-functional Engagement:
Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders, including client-facing teams, to ensure analytics deliverables meet client needs. Establish strong partnerships with departments such as Clinical Research, Biostatistics, and Data Management.

Data-Driven Insights: Drive the development and delivery of data-driven insights that support decision-making, feasibility assessments, and research initiatives. Ensure the quality, integrity, and transparency of all analytical work.

Regulatory Compliance & Standards: Ensure all analytics activities meet regulatory standards, including ethical and privacy guidelines. Uphold the highest standards of scientific integrity and rigor in all analyses.
