As an Oracle Java Presales Consultant, you will engaging customers in assessing their Java risk postures and practical implications, by understanding their Java usage and deployment architectures. You will help promote the value of Oracle Java SE subscription offerings. Being tenacious and methodical will be the traits for success.

What You’ll Do:
- Lead customer conversations to uncover Oracle Java SE usage across desktops, servers, applications, and third-party environments, e.g. public clouds.
- Assess commercial and security exposure related to Oracle Java SE deployments.
- Identify potential non-compliance with Oracle Java SE licensing and subscription requirements.
- Build clear, evidence-based customer narratives that explain Oracle’s value proposition and the business case for subscription.
- Handle strong customer objections with composure, precision, and confidence.
- Collaborate with sales, legal, renewal, and specialist teams to progress opportunities and resolve customer concerns.
- Prepare customer-facing briefs, discovery notes, objection handling points, and executive summaries.
- Maintain a current understanding of Oracle Java SE offerings, pricing/subscription structure, and business practices.
What You’ll Bring:Required Qualifications
- Strong understanding of Oracle Java SE and its value proposition in the enterprise market.
- Good grasp of the Java market landscape and how Java plays in the modern cloud native, AI era.
- Solid understanding with how customers typically consume Java runtimes in complex enterprise architectural environments.
- Experience in presales, licensing, technology advisory, compliance, or a related customer-facing role.
- Proven ability to work through difficult conversations and maintain customer trust under pushback.
- Methodical, analytical, and disciplined approach to discovery and documentation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to influence business and technical stakeholders.
