Director of Quality Engineering The Challenge

At One Trust, we are evolving our Quality Engineering function from a traditional testing model to a modern quality enablement model. Our goal is to embed quality directly into engineering workflows through automation, CI/CD pipelines, and scalable testing frameworks, allowing teams to ship faster while maintaining high standards of reliability.

We are looking for a leader who has already driven this type of transformation— someone who understands how to move teams from slower, monolithic delivery models toward modern, CI/CD-driven development with strong quality governance and measurable engineering outcomes.

This role will help define what great quality engineering looks like at scale and enable our teams to consistently deliver high-quality products to our customers.

Your Mission

• Lead the evolution of Quality Engineering into a strategic enablement function across engineering

• Drive the adoption of automation-first testing practices and CI/CD quality gates

• Define and implement quality engineering standards, governance, and best practices

• Partner closely with engineering leadership to improve delivery velocity, predictability, and product quality

• Establish scalable test architecture, frameworks, and automation strategies

• Introduce and leverage modern engineering metrics (e.g., DORA metrics) to measure and improve performance

• Act as a quality evangelist, influencing teams and driving adoption of modern engineering practices

You Are

• A technical leader with 15+ years of experience in software engineering or quality engineering

• Someone who has successfully led a quality transformation in a modern engineering environment

• Experienced in implementing CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, and modern testing strategies

• Comfortable partnering with engineering leaders and defining standards, frameworks, and governance

• A strong communicator and storyteller who can simplify complex processes and influence teams

• A critical thinker who challenges the status quo and brings new ideas, tools, and practices Extra Awesome

• Experience scaling quality engineering across large, distributed engineering teams

• Exposure to cloud-native architectures and modern engineering platforms

• Experience operationalizing engineering performance metrics such as DORA

• Strong background in test architecture, automation frameworks, and modern QE tooling

• A passion for building high-performing engineering cultures centered around quality
