Role Overview

As Splunk Service and Architecture Lead, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management and strategic direction of Splunk services, including log management, metrics collection, alerting, and dashboarding across infrastructure and application domains. You will work closely with Information Security, Infrastructure, and Application teams to ensure secure, reliable, and scalable observability solutions across the enterprise. Splunk services are delivered through a managed service provider. You will be accountable for overseeing the provider's performance, ensuring adherence to contractual KPIs and SLAs, and driving continuous improvement in service quality and data usability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the Splunk service portfolio across all regions.
  • Define and maintain the Splunk architecture roadmap in alignment with enterprise IT strategy.
  • Govern the managed service provider's performance through structured KPI and SLA frameworks.
  • Collaborate with Information Security and Infrastructure teams to ensure secure and integrated observability solutions.
  • Lead service reviews and drive corrective actions and improvements.
  • Monitor and report on service performance, data ingestion health, and operational metrics.
  • Drive automation, standardization, and self-service capabilities across Splunk platforms.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for major incidents and service disruptions.
  • Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead vendor management and contract negotiations for Splunk-related services and tools.

Team & Reporting

  • Splunk services are delivered by a managed service provider under your governance.
  • You will work closely with Information Security, Infrastructure, and Application teams.
  • Reports to Digital Infrastructure Leadership.
  • Leads cross-functional collaboration across global teams and business units.

Profile Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in observability, monitoring, or log analytics platforms.
  • Proven experience managing services through external providers with SLA/KPI frameworks.
  • Strong knowledge of Splunk Enterprise, Splunk Cloud, Splunk ITSI, and related integrations.
  • Experience with ITIL processes and service management tools (e.g., Service Now).
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and vendor negotiation skills.
  • Strategic thinker with hands-on technical capabilities.
