Job Summary
The candidate will be responsible for managing the wireless modem systems team focusing on UWB modem productization. The candidate will provide technical leadership and manage the team to solve pre-silicon, post-silicon and customer issues related to the UWB chip-set.
Responsibilities include:
o Lead the team to solve pre-silicon and post-silicon system issues.
o Define, drive modem requirements for FGPA development, FW/MW implementation.
o Define, drive modem related test plans for SOC, SW and Validation teams and reviewing results.
o Collaborate with other teams to develop practical implementations of high-speed transceiver algorithms, carefully architected for power, accuracy, throughput and robustness.
o Address customer issues and analyze system performance under different scenarios to guide customer development.
o Drive post-silicon chip/system bring-up, performance testing/evaluation, and root-cause issues.
Job Qualifications
o Electronics and telecommunications engineering typically, a MS/MTech degree with 12 years of experience, or a PhD degree with 9 years of experience or equivalent.
o Strong fundamentals in digital communications, signal processing, and hardware design. Exposure to FW/SW is desirable.
o Team management experience.
o Excellent communication skills and willingness to interact with various groups within the company.
o Design and implementation experience in wireless communication architectures is preferred.
o Experience with end-to-end radio performance optimization and calibration is preferred.
o Experience in modem algorithm development and integration is preferred.
o Experience in high-volume productization of wireless silicon.
