You will play a key role in partnering with stakeholders, translating business requirements into innovative, scalable, secure and maintainable IT solutions. You will play a key role in the technical expertise and capability of the Planning IT team, which delivers global solutions for NXP’s Supply Chain Operations team. In this role you will be a technical expert on the Supply Planning applications like JDA ESP, JDA OP and Demand Planning applications like e.g. Quintiq Demand Planner.

Business Process and Technical Expert Role Overview

As Business Process Expert (BPE) and Technical Expert, you are the crucial link between NXP’s business processes and IT solutions. You will combine your learning and understanding of the business processes with your technical insights and expertise of our application platforms to translate evolving business needs into future-ready IT solutions, working with our IT partner team ESP External Service Provider) to deliver features and improvements on our Planning platforms. Your responsibilities will span from requirements gathering and analysis to solution design, development, testing, technical guidance and operational support.

Key Responsibilities

As a Business Process Expert and Technical Expert, you are responsible for:

• Organize and execute all required activities to deliver high quality specifications and designs that meet the business process requirements. You collaborate with the ESP to design, develop and implement the required IT solutions, within a number of boundary conditions like budget, timing and architecture.
• Create, challenge and validate business cases for the requirements of the business.
• Validate designs and IT solutions as they are created by ESP’s.
• Organize proper user acceptance testing, roll-out activities and hand-over to operations.
• Analysis of complex semiconductor planning models. Being able to think in extreme logic to predict and explain results.
• Execute Root Cause Analysis triggered by incidents

Your profile

To be successful in this role you have

• Bachelor or Master in IT, Operations Research, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
• Knowledge on supply chain planning concepts,
• Not afraid of challenging planning problems.
• Able to easy think in ‘schemas’, with ‘logic’ always on.
• Excellent understanding of the impact of IT solutions at the operational, organizational and financial level of the business and able to influence the business in their approach towards IT.
• Good working knowledge on application development and maintenance activities with an emphasis on the requirements definition and functional design phases.
• Adequate understanding of project management techniques (SAFe / Prince2) to plan and control the requirements definition and application acceptance activities.
