Supports the mechanical engineers; Executes mechanical activities on-site as directed including:

- Performs and monitor typical maintenance tasks to support the assembly floor and the entire facility except HVAC related.

Contact external contractors as required and accompany/assist them while on site.

Oversee contractors General Worker works at the site and monitor accordingly except for HVAC works
-
Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.

Ensure full and timely reporting of all major breakdowns, significant problems, repair requirements, delays or machine down time to relevant engineers.

Liaise with suppliers and engineers as necessary to clarify technical details and overcome problems.

Carry out routine maintenance on all systems, machinery and equipment to include fault finding, problem solving and minor repairs to minimize down time.

Create & continuously update log files for plant utilities & equipment readings and consumptions.

Carry out daily, weekly and monthly health and safety checks and inspections and takes timely corrective action. Report problems and/or unsafe practices to relevant engineers, together with any recommendations for improvements.

Carry out all minor mechanical repairs in relation to systems and utilities, planned and executed in such a way so as to minimize risk or inconvenience to operations.

Assist in daily registration of contractor entry via SPLAN system
-Assist in daily Permit to Work (PTW) application for contractors’ work
-Assist Mechanical Engineer for groundwork arrangement at site (CDA, Gases, Exhaust, RODI ) such as material movement using forklift, loading and unloading work for spare parts.
-Assist Mechanical Engineer for minor works / project e.g. spare part inventory management, equipment calibrations , equipment list tracking
-Provide Coverage and replace shift team during AL/MC for shift operation
-Assist with Safety Induction arrangement with EHS for Contractors -
Any other reasonable duties or project work which may be required by management from time to time.
Requirements:

- Required to operate and maintain equipment, perform troubleshooting, and understand basic engineering principles.
· Safety Awareness
- Adherence to in-house safety protocols and procedures
· Leadership skills – Required to lead projects and guide contractors when necessary
Qualification & Experience:
· Candidate must possess at least a Diploma in Electrical & Electronic / Mechatronic or Mechanical engineering equivalent field
· Min 2 years working experience in facility department, preferably in semiconductor industry environment
· Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia
· Support emergency (unscheduled) repairs or troubleshooting of facilities equipment, and close monitoring on facilities system performance, critical parameters and loading. Performs routine facility and equipment maintenance such as Chillers, Cooling Tower, Pumps, Industrial Gases, CDA System, AHU,MAU and etc. Completes all documentation for work performed, in a timely manner. Perform Periodic Maintenance according to plan. Oversee contractors and manage project completion and timeline. Other duties as assigned
